Painting of Pandit Amar Nath Vaishnavi Ji and Shri Bala Saheb Thakre Ji

Painting of selfless Karmyogi whom we knew as Pandit Amar Nath Vaishnavi. His work and dedication to the Kashmiri Pandit community is an open book. At a critical juncture of our history when we were driven out from our motherland,  a sea of problems confronted us. Shelter and education of our children were the most critical segments.  Vaishnavi Ji was always leading and guiding us. Nothing deterred him in this task; Neither the hot and humid climate of the plains nor the bureaucratic insensitivity to our pain and suffering.  After 1990, he travelled to Delhi, Chandigarh, Faridabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai and many other places to ameliorate the community’s pain and suffering. His role in getting the reservation for the children of the displaced community in professional colleges of Maharashtra is a history.  For this, we remain indebted to him and  Shri Balasaheb Thakre. If Pandit Amar Nath Vaishnavi Ji was a selfless Messiah ,  Shri Balasaheb Thakre was no less than our saviour at that critical juncture. Naman to these souls. Our younger generation needs to know this. That is my intention.

May  the selfless messiah and the saviour  be happy and peaceful in their Swarg-dhaam.
